The Founder
Forty years of dirt under fingernails.
Dustin grew up in the landscaping business. His father spent forty years in the trade — long enough that the standards were set before software was, and they have not changed.
In 2008, Dustin took everything the family trade taught him and built his own company in Fort Collins. Independent, deliberately small, and entirely his own. No franchise.
No silent partner. No subcontractor wearing the company shirt. Every project Couture takes on is owner-operated in the truest sense: Dustin is on the site. He sets the first stone and walks the last grade. The crew that arrives the first day is the crew that finishes the last.
He accepts only one or two projects at a time — never rushed, never thinned across crews. It is the only way he has ever known how to work, and the only way he is willing to put his name on a finished property.

A garden, a terrace, an outdoor room — these are not products to be ordered from a catalogue. They are pictures of a life, drawn in the language of stone and shade and slow light.
My job is to listen for that picture, and then to translate it: into grades and joinery, into the way a path turns just so around an aspen, into the bench that ends up in the place you didn’t yet know you wanted to sit.
Building a landscape should be the most exciting summer of your year — not the most stressful. I believe that, and I run the company that way.

The first conversation happens at your kitchen table, then moves outside. No clipboards, no fixed menu of options. We ask how you live, where the light is best, what your weekends could look like.
Typically 1–2 visits
Hand-drawn site plans become rendered visions. We site every wall, every tree, every line of sight against the way the property already breathes — and refine it together until it is unmistakably yours.
4–8 weeks · fully transparent pricing
Our own crews. Same hands from foundation to final planting. Dustin walks the site daily. You'll always know what is happening, and what is happening next — because he is the one telling you.
